About Susan
Susan Landis is a ceramic artist in Denver, Colorado. Her work ranges from mixed-media sculptural fish to whimsical but practical homewares. Susan uses a wide variety of stains, underglazes, and firing techniques to create her signature pieces. She works mainly out of her studio at the Arvada Ceramic Arts Guild, in Arvada, CO and is an artist/owner at the Shadow Mountain Gallery in downtown Evergreen, CO.
Susan’s STory
“In 2016, my husband survived a massive stroke. During this trauma and following years of recovery, I came to realize that life is so short and I needed to live my life-long dream of being a full-time artist. I took steps to put this plan into motion and the universe has supported my dreams by providing a dedicated community of ceramic artists as well as supportive customers.
I am a very spiritual person and I put a lot of joy into what I make. I feel the energy that the clay emits when I’m working with it and it’s so fun for me to partner with that. I hope that my work brings as much joy to your life as it has to mine.
